A stone's throw from the famous Place des Vosges, Saint Paul looks like an extension of the Marais. As you walk around, you will come across lots of little shopping streets with fashion boutiques, trendy bars, and restaurants with a village feel. To the south, the Quai des Célestins, with its old stones, is a pleasant place to walk. You can admire the beautiful mansions, which gave the district a more well-to-do feel. This transformation was the work of André Malraux and the Quartier Sauvegardé Act, which changed the neighborhood socially.
