Unlike other more exclusive areas of the arrondissement, the area is mainly residential and family-oriented and has two reputable colleges. In the 1920s the Porte de Saint-Cloud district experienced extensive growth, leading to architectural restructuring. On Place de la Porte de Saint-Cloud, there are two fountains, illuminated at night, dating back to 1930. The construction of the Eglise Sainte-Jeanne-de-Chantal began, for example, in 1932. Unfortunately, the area, located near the Renault plants in Billancourt, was heavily bombed during World War II. Many buildings were rebuilt in the 1950s and 1960s.
