Furnished apartment - 52m² - 1 bedroom - Montmartre / Place des Abbesses - Paris

Upon entering the apartment I was very surprised to find that while it was clean, the furnishings were extremely run down. The couch was badly stained and the towels were so old and stained they were unusable. The pillows on the bed were not sleeping pillows at all and instead were tiny flat cushions that were probably 40+ years old inside pillowcases 3 times too big. They were unusable for sanitary reasons. The silverware was extremely old and dirty and there were no kitchen knives suitable for chopping vegetables, there was no proper cutting board etc. I spent the first two days in Paris running around buying things to make the apartment functional for my stay, sourcing kitchen supplies and towels and pillows, new bedding, etc. I would not stay at this apartment again and would recommend that the owner invest in entirely new silverware and bedding. I left the five pillows I bought and their pillowcases as well as the kitchen supplies I bought, but I bought sparingly as I knew I would be leaving these things behind.
