I felt the place needed cleaning upon our arrival; it was rather dusty, and some of the table tops and switches seemed grimy. (We left the place cleaner than it was upon our arrival.) There was a tear in two of the chair cushions, which we repaired. (Thanks for the sewing kit.)
A few more items would have made the kitchen easier to use, such as spare (washed) cotton dish towels, a second oven mitt, and instructions on how to use the stove. The place needs two additional white flat sheets to use under each of the comforters. (If we'd had these, we would have left both beds fully made. As it was, we wound up leaving some sheets still drying in the dryer.) It would be good to include instructions on how to use the dishwasher, and washer and dryer specifically in the tenant info. Also, we needed to adjust the hot water; instructions on how to do that would have been helpful, too. It would be good to list where the closest grocery store and pharmacy are. We learned about the Bastille farmer's market from the apt owner -- this was a boon! It would also have been good to have known what metro stop is closest to the place in advance. Arrival would have been smoother for us if we'd known. (It's possible I missed that in some of the info.) It was unclear to us when and how the hand-off from Paris Attitude to the owner was being done, that is, when should we stop trying to contact Paris Attitude and when we should just communicate with the owner. Communication with Rex, Ani, and Vicky was swift and efficient once they contacted us. Rex's instructions on how to get in to the place were excellent.
All of that being said -- what a fantastic place! We loved the view of the Seine, and all of the amazing sites, monuments, parks, shops, and museums that were all within walking distance. We also loved the proximity to the metro, and the extensive and efficient nature of this system. All of Paris seemed happy and relaxed, in part, we thought, due to the amazing success of the Olympic Games. It was nice to feel all of the love everywhere. We hope we'll get to return for another stay in the not-too-distant future. Our month in Paris was beautiful, fun, amazing, relaxing, and culturally, so so interesting!.
